Porchfest – Dallas, Texas 2018

It’s been a hot minute since I made a post or photo-gallery. A big part of that is due to moving from the lowcountry out to Dallas, Texas. That being said, Texas has always been a state of of incredible performers & I look forward to giving our followers a spicy taste of The Lone Star State now that I’ve settled in. I lived in Austin & San Anotnio some fifteen years ago, and have missed the sound of boots shuffling across the dance-floor, long-neck bottles of Lone Star brew, and real-deal county music as opposed to “new country”. Imagine my surprise to find that things have changed, a variety of of style has taken over, and the doors have opened to much more than what I remember.

I first became aware of Porchfest through Atlanta’s version in Oakhurst, but in speaking with an organizer they are are related (the original started in New York), but all have their own style & sound. Unfortunately I only managed to catch the last hour, but talent abounds here, just as much as any other of the same name.
