Larry Jack’s Magical Music Tour – 10/31-11/5

Hey guys,
Well, no one told me to stop writing yet, so I am back for another week.  Some good shows last week, but nothing that could top the Band Of Horses show at the Wormhole Bar two weeks ago. There are several nights this week with too much to choose from, so no excuse not to go see some music this week.  And you can dress up in a costume almost any day this week.

On with the recommendations.

Thursday 10/31
Steppin’ StonesCity Market (8-11p) – Classic rock from a teenage trio; It is well worth stopping by while costumed-people watching
Epic CycleWarehouse (8-11:30p) – Blues rock quartet; One of my current favorite bands, I hope to drop by before the Jinx
Tribute Band NightJinx (9p) – An annual tradition, I expect a very fun night.  This is supposed to start not long after 9pm.
A few more shows that may be worth stopping by:
Baby BabyCongress Street Social Club (10p) – Party rock
Charlie Fog BandFlip Flop Tiki Bar – Grateful Dead covers and others

Friday 11/1
Georgia Kyle & The Magical Flying MachineFlip Flop Tiki Bar
Knife, MiggsZunzi’s II – Rap show – I hope to stop by before the Jinx show.

Bottles & Cans – Blowin’ Smoke (7-10p)
GAM, Blood Wrestling, Savannah Sweet Tease Burlesque Show – Jinx – If you have never seen GAM, just go to this show.  This should be the show to see this week.
Those Cats Congress Street Social Club – I hope to sneak over to the Social Club during a break to catch some of this show.

A few more shows that may be good tonight:
Creepoid, Blackrune, Ramming SpeedSparetime
Mother’s FinestCoach’s Corner ($25/30) – MF is one of my all-time favorites, and they put on a heck of a show.  I don’t think I will make it tonight, but you never know.

Saturday 11/2

Turtleween at Tubby’s Thunderbolt (2-12mn) – Turtlefolk, Ultraviolet Hippopotamus, Train Wrecks, Dr. Dan & The Looters, Andrew Gill Band, Poetry N’ Lotion, Epic Cycle ($10) – An all day event put on by the good folks from L0ve Music.  They are advertising this as a family-friendly event.  It looks like lots of fun.  And not bad for 10 bucks.
Train WrecksWorld Of Beer (9p) – Not my favorite venue, but they start early.
Cusses, Niche, Wet Socks, Electric ParkHang Fire ($6) – This should be the main show to see tonight.  What a line-up.  The Cusses and Niche could be headliners, and Wet Socks are an exciting garage-rock duo.  I don’t know Electric Park (yes, I haven’t seen everybody).
HypnoticsMolly MacPherson’s (10p) – Garage rock, go see them, especially if you missed them on Friday

Sunday 11/3
Steppin’ StonesCity Market (5-8p) – Classic rock from a female-led trio.  This will be a nice way to spend the late afternoon.

Monday 11/4
Hot Plate, White Liars, City MouseHang Fire

Tuesday 11/5
Jason Bible Foxy Loxy – An acoustic show from the front-man of the Train Wrecks.  And a beautiful place to see some music.

AmbroseJinx Hip Hop Night – This may not get started until a little too late for me, but I know some of you are out on Tuesday, go here.
